Standardized Offender Assessments - Revised (SOA-R)

This training certifies staff on all of the Standardized Offender Assessment tools currently is use within Colorado.  The instruments covered are:
-  Level of Supervision Inventory - Revised (LSI-R)
-  Simple Screening Inventory - Revised (SSI-R)
-  Adult Substance Use Survey - Revised (ASUS-R)
-  Colorado Criminal Justice Mental Health Screen - Adults (CCJMHS-A)
-  Treatment Recommendation Worksheet (TxRW)

There is an optional one hour refresher, which is provided FREE for participants of this training.  The purpose of the refresher is to identify scoring errors before they become common practice and to review all information provided.  This entails staff submitting completed assessments to the trainer.  The trainer will provide written feedback (to be distributed at the refresher), review all instruments, and answer questions that surface after practicing the interviews and scoring the assessments.

Standardized Offender Assessments (SOAR) Advanced

This training is for staff who have been certified in the Standardized Offender Assessments.  The focus is on utilizing the assessment process to increase appropriate treatment levels through guided practice and feedback.  This also includes a review all information provided during the original training.

Adult CPR

This four-hour certified course teaches the correct response to heart attack emergencies, rescue breathing, airway obstruction techniques, and CPR for adult victims.

Standard First Aid

This five-and-a-half hour certified course is tailored to the needs of business and other work settings, it meets all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) first aid requirements.  Course components include how to recognize and care for respiratory and cardiac emergencies, severe bleeding, sudden illness and injuries in adults.  This course also includes adult CPR.

Motivating Correctional Clients to Change

This course provides Case Managers with the principles and techniques of motivational interviewing, which assists clients in the change process.  The curriculum includes:
